We're going inverted Mav!! (negative index of refraction that is!)

This is so cool! Metamaterials! Check this link to purdue's work on this great new material type.

The simple of it is this, the material has a negative index of refraction. Why is this cool? Everything that can contain light so far (air, water, glass) has a positive index of refraction. This is a material that can be used to contain super small dimensions of light, think burning smaller traces than ever to make microchips (that means that moore's law can be maintained and they can make lower power systems with ever more processing power, and super kick ass lenses for focusing and for awesome telescopes (think super hubble!))

Rock on Purdue!

And for good measure, what the heck are the dutch up to? here's an odd link to micropullers in the Netherlands. Micropullers here meaning, tractor pulls, with remote control cars. Yeah, I know,, cool, and totally bat shit insane.

So cool.

So insane.
